Teaser: The Shift - Moments of seeing things differently.

In this teaser episode, Trisha introduces the idea of mental 'shifts', those moments when our perception changes and we are able to see things differently. This podcast series will discuss cultural metacognition - a key part of Cultural Intelligence - how we can increase it and help others in that process.

Trisha:

Hi, everyone.

I'm Trisha Carter an organizational psychologist and explorer of Cultural Intelligence. I'm on a quest to discover what enables us to see things from different perspectives. Especially different cultural perspectives. And why sometimes it's easier than others to experience those moments of awareness. What can we do to help ourselves and others to experience these thinking shifts when needed?

In this podcast series, I'll be speaking to a range of experts from researchers and practitioners and cultural intelligence in cognition and metacognition to an actor and coach who has made those shifts on stage.

So, join us if you're interested in building your cultural intelligence. If you want to see things differently, or if you’re just curious to explore ideas behind cultural metacognition, please join us next week to dive deeper into The Shift.
